With the ongoing two agencies, preschool children enrolled at these centers will continue to benefit from the programming provided by both agencies.

Being a part of this state-of-the-art early childhood and family center has afforded Columbus City Schools’ Early Childhood Education Program the opportunity to work with local, county and state agencies in providing a one-stop, full-shop early childhood education and family center for the Columbus community. Columbus City Schools’ component of this partnership includes Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classes. This partnership is considered another arm and a valuable resource for Columbus City Schools’ Early Childhood Education Programs.
Close (Double-click to edit button text)Help Me Grow is a program for Ohio’s expectant parents, newborns, infants, and toddlers that provides health and developmental services so that children start school healthy and ready to learn. One part of Help Me Grow is to support caregivers and their young children (0-3 years) who need extra help because of premature birth, health problems, or a diagnosed delay, such as difficulty seeing, hearing, talking, thinking, playing, or moving. The Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities provides early intervention services for children who have developmental delays and live in Franklin County. The Help Me Grow-Early Intervention Program and the Franklin County Board of DD work in partnership to coordinate and provide services for young children who have developmental delays.

Close (Double-click to edit button text)The YMCA Early Learning Center provides full day infant, toddler, preschool and Pre-K programming. Our curriculum and environment is based on The Creative Curriculum, Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services Child Care Licensing, The National Association for the Education of Young Children guidelines and Step Up to Quality guidelines. Teachers utilize The Creative Curriculum Assessment Tool and conduct parent/teacher conferences twice a year. The YMCA promotes Character Development values: Respect, Honesty, Caring and Responsibility.
We are located at the FCBDD Early Childhood and Family Center, 2879 Johnstown Road, Columbus, OH. 43219. We work collaboratively with FCBDD and offer 2-4 placements in each classroom for children who have special needs and qualify for services through FCBDD. We have 2 FCBDD itinerant teachers who support and coordinate services. Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy,Vision, and Speech-Language services are provided to eligible children.
